UK FIRST FOR TM LOGISTICS AND WORCESTER, BOSCH GROUP

In 2007, TM Logistics became Worcester, Bosch Group’s first UK logistics partner, after successfully winning a major contract from the UK operation of the Bosch Group’s heating and hot water division.

The three-year agreement sees TM Logistics managing an order fulfilment service for Worcester, Bosch Group, the industry leader in heating and hot water preparation products for both the commercial and domestic market.

As well as receiving raw materials into a dedicated 33,000 sq ft warehouse facility in Droitwich, TM Logistics is responsible for managing the picking and despatch of ‘just in time’ deliveries to Worcester, Bosch Group’s manufacturing facility in Warndon, Worcester.

Four deliveries on double deck trailers are made daily to Worcester, Bosch Group’s site in Warndon and to service this demand, TML’s state-of-the-art warehouse is operational 24 hours a day, five and a half days a week.  

Divided into racked space and bulk storage, the warehouse can hold up to 5,100 pallets at any one time. It is operated by a warehouse manager and eight fork lift truck drivers and on average, the team handle 140,000 pallets each year, together with approximately 700,000 picked cases.
